TPO Mechanically Attached Membrane with Induction Welding

Want to learn more about TPO roofing membranes? Watch this video of our roofing technicians induction weld the underside of a TPO membrane using plates.

This video (no audio track) demonstrates our technicians induction welding the underside of the TPO membrane to specially designed plates. This mechanically attached roof system does not require fasteners to penetrate the membrane, improves wind load distribution and significantly reduces noise from roof membrane flutter.

Thermoplastic Polyolefin (TPO) and Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC) are thermoplastic roof systems that are both white and highly reflective roof membranes. These roofs provide excellent weathering characteristics and are highly resistant to ultraviolet light and most chemicals. The membranes have a reinforced scrim and are puncture and tear resistant. Thermoplastic roofs have outstanding seam strength due to the fact the sheets are welded together using hot air. These types of roof systems are lightweight and well suited for second generation (roof-over) applications.
